Eligibility for Returns & Exchanges
- Items must be returned within seven (7) days from the date of receipt/delivery (not purchase date).
- The item must be in its original condition, with no signs of damage, wear, or misuse.
- The item may be tested at home for basic functionality, but must not be used professionally, publicly, or subjected to extended use before deciding to return it.
- All original packaging, accessories, and proof of purchase (receipt/invoice) must be included.
- Returns are accepted only for items with verified manufacturing defects (see definition below).
Definition of Manufacturing Defects
“Manufacturing defects” are flaws in materials or workmanship that prevent the guitar from functioning as intended, and which were present at the time of sale. Examples include:
- Structural issues such as warped necks, misaligned bridges, or unstable joints.
- Faulty electronics (e.g., defective pickups, switches, or wiring).
- Cracks or splits in the body/neck that were not caused by impact or misuse.
- Hardware that fails under normal use (e.g., tuning machines that cannot hold tension).
Cosmetic variations in wood grain, finish, or minor surface marks that do not affect playability are not considered manufacturing defects.
Non-Returnable Items
- Custom-made or personalized guitars.
- Items sold as “Clearance” or “Final Sale”.
Refund Policy
- Approved returns will be refunded through the original payment method or issued as store credit, as preferred by the customer.
- Refunds will be processed within 2 to 5 business days after inspection and approval.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable, except in cases of verified factory defects or incorrectly shipped items.
Exchange Policy
- Exchanges are allowed only for items with verified manufacturing defects or if the incorrect model was shipped.
- Customers must return the original item before a replacement is issued.
Warranty Policy
- Guitars come with a six (6) month limited warranty beginning on the date of receipt/delivery.
- This warranty covers manufacturing defects only (as defined above).
- The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by accidents (drops, impacts, water exposure, fire, etc.).
- Damage from improper handling, such as over-tightening strings, exposure to extreme temperature or humidity, lack of maintenance, or neglect.
- Damage caused by unauthorized repairs, modifications, or alterations.
- Normal wear and tear (scratches, fret wear, string breakage, finish fading, etc.).
Process for Warranty Claims
- Contact us at info@jmjguitar.com or call +63 927 005 3407 before returning any item.
- Provide your order details, a description of the issue, and photos/videos showing the defect.
- Our technician will review the claim and confirm if it qualifies under warranty.
- If approved, the customer will be advised to ship the guitar to:
Spam 34, JMJ Musical Goods Trading, Nepo Commercial Complex, Angeles City, Pampanga. - For valid warranty claims, return shipping costs will be covered by JMJ Guitars. For non-warranty cases, the customer is responsible for shipping fees.
Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, JMJ Guitars’ liability is strictly limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the purchased product under the terms of this policy.
- JMJ Guitars shall not be liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, emotional distress, or damage to other equipment or property, arising out of the use or inability to use the product.
- This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes, claims, or legal proceedings arising from or relating to this policy shall be filed and resolved exclusively in the courts of Pampanga, Philippines.
